We are most proud of the "continuing" relationship with the animals we have bred, raised, and loved and the good folks who adopted them. By emails, letters, telephone calls, and return visits to our Virginia farm the extended "family" share their Doodle experiences, both the many joys and the occasional setbacks.
We reproduce here a sample of the more recent incoming emails to Gleneden. We hope you find the messages of interest; perhaps they will give you a feel for why folks all over America and beyond deeply love their Gleneden Doodles.

Judy - Gabi is such a joy that we would like to have another Labradoodle, and request that we be put on the wait list.  We would like a male this time, and the coat could be a little fuller with waves; as for the color maybe cream/buff or a little darker (but not a huge factor).  As for size I'm not sure how big Gabi will get but we would rather have the same size or larger. We are hoping for a new addition either in May or after..Forever grateful for a wonderful addition to our family, Robin Tutin, Springfield, VA

Hi Judy, Hope you are having a great start to your New Year! We are just loving our 8 month old mini F2 Labradoodle.  Levi is a wonderful companion to our whole family and is the nicest, most gentle dog in the world.  There are several other labradoodles in SouthRiding, Va. from GlenEden and Levi LOVES playing with all of them.  He was born on May 14, 2007 and has just been an easy, lovable dog.  Thank you so much for picking him out for our family...

Dear Judy, I purchased our labradoodle from you in March of 2002 and you had her shipped to Los Angeles where we picked her up in May.  I just wanted to tell you how much we love this dog and have enjoyed her.  The first year of puppyhood was a challenge just as it is with most puppies.  But, we began our training immediately and it has certainly paid off.  Without a doubt, she is one of the most personable and loving dogs we have ever had.  She follows us around everywhere everyday and just wants to be with us and to please us. We have six grandchildren (the oldest is 7) and she is wonderful with all of them.  Anyway, I just had to tell you that this dog is great and has certainly well exceeded our expectations.  We love her!! Thanks,

Jeffrey A. Cole,  San Luis Obispo, CA

Just an update on Bella for you.  Here’s a picture from a few weeks
ago.  She is fabulous!  She is just the sweetest, most lovable dog.
She’s the star pupil in puppy class and melts the hearts of everyone
she meets.  She had her first hike on the Appalachian Trail this
weekend; she traveled six miles and met plenty of hikers, dogs and
horses.  We walk a couple of miles a day, so she was well prepared
for the hike.  She just pranced along the trail!
Yesterday, I understand you talked to one of my friends, Don
Gaetano, about a dog.  He was with me the night you emailed the very
            first picture of Bella!

Dear Judy, Today I watched Oprah and she focused on puppy mills, and I was so thankful that I know that your dogs are well cared for and loved and don't come from these horrific conditions. THANK YOU!  It's been nearly 7 years since I received Kizzy from Glen Eden, my  beautiful and famous doodle. Here is a picture from last July on her  birthday... She is my greatest friend, and now she has a tiny brother, Buttons, a 7 lb. 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier whose family no longer could care for him. They make quite the contrast....Laura Edwards, Waltham,MA

Hi Judy, We wanted to say hello and let you know how much we are enjoying Sarah, the beautiful red mini - labradoodle we purchased from you March 7th. (Born December 24th)... Thanks so much! Jeremy Boal and Rebecca Sandler, NYC, NY

Judy, My sister and I adopted brothers, Fozzy(left) and Taz(right), that were born on 6/1/04.  After my sister brought Fozzy for a visit, we instantly fell in love and decided we had to have his brother.  Fozzy has made a faithful companion for my sister's maltepoo Krimpet, and our Taz has made a great boating dog.
Thank you, Julia Jones, Hopewell, NJ

Ollie, Arnie, and I wish you a very happy holiday.  We wanted you to know that Ollie graduated from advanced training at PetSmart on November 11.  His one-year-old birthday was the next day.  He is not quite ready for the AKC Good Citizen test.  He is still not behaving well with other dogs, but we will continue to work with him on that.  He is a beautiful animal, and everyone admires him as we take him on walks.  We also have permission to take him into an assisted living facility.  We have visited there 5 times.  We are trying to work with him so the residents can pet him and so we can eventually go into nursing homes.  It will be a slow process.  Ollie still acts like the puppy he is at times...  Best wishes for the new year! Carolyn Atkinson, Charleston, WV

Hi Judy and Anya-...First let me tell you I have been complimenting you and your place to anyone who will listen!  What a first class operation, not to mention the home of my dreams.  A little bit of Sweden, beautiful rolling pastures, beautiful horses and dogs..or do I say doods!?...  Lena and Anya Salus,Wilmington,DE

Hi Judy and Anya, Hope you had a happy holiday season.  Just wanted to let you know that Linus (born 7/22/06) is doing well.  We moved from New Hampshire to Michigan in April.  Linus is enjoying his new fenced backyard and the 3 dog parks in Ann Arbor. He misses the beach, but we take him to the nearby river or to the lakes when the weather permits.  He is definitely the happiest dog I have ever encountered and he loves every person and every dog he meets. People always comment on how beautiful and personable he is.  Thanks so much for introducing us to Linus!

Best,

Hi Judy, Anya - I hope you can see the attached pictures of our beloved Hazel. She's been a delightful - and energetic! - addition to our household since we brought her home in June of this year. My husband and I absolutely adore her, and get a laugh out of her antics every day. Despite her puppy-like mischief, she has a precious personality and super sweet disposition.
How could you not fall in love with a face like hers?! ...

Dear Judy and Anya,     Hi!  Just a short update.  Our Labradoodle, Munch, born to Chicken Little and Beau, celebrated his 2nd birthday on May 8th with family and his furry friends, with a romp on the big field next to our house, doggy bags and pizza.  As evidenced by the attached photo, we believe Munch enjoyed his celebration immensely. Everyone who meets Munch and is not intimidated by his size, greets him with love and snuggles up with him, even the little ones.  All our best.,

Dear Judy & Anya~  Just wanted to check in with you.  Nellie turned 9 months old yesterday and is spoiled rotten.  She sleeps in our bed, we cook for her, take her with us on errands, and she plays with the other doodles in the neighborhood.  We adore her more each day!  Thank you so much for hand-picking her for us!  She still has a dark red color and is such our princess.  We call our living room "Nellie's parlor". haha
Have a great Sunday,
Tracy Steinbach, South Riding, Virginia

Dear Judy,

Noodle has successfully lowered the blood pressure of everyone he's met in the Los Angeles area.  He's even more wonderful than when I tucked all 11 pounds of him under my plane seat five years ago.   You picked the perfect dog for me.

Hi Judy, We got "Molly" from you last June and she just turned six months old, she is a labradoodle, but many think she's a goldendoodle because of her color. We absolutely love her, she has been such a joy in our lives. She just graduated from puppy training with flying colors, top of her class! We just moved to Virginia Beach and take her for walks every day on the beach and she loves it. It took her a bit to get used to the water, but now she pulls toward the beach when we are out! We have taken her to the boardwalk a couple times and she gets so much attention, no kidding about every five minutes someone stops us and asks what kind of dog she is and how cute she is. One lady just the other day stopped us and was so excited just to see her, she thanked us for walking by and making her day!! She loves other dogs and people, she has to say "hi" to everyone! My husband and I have so much fun with her, she is such a happy and loving dog, what a great temperment she has, it's amazing! One of her favorite games is hide and seek, everyday when my husband gets home they play. We also just got a jeep wrangler and Molly loves going for rides with the top down, wind in her face! Just wanted to share with you how much we love Molly and how much we appreciate all that you do for your dogs!

Thank you so much!

            Hello Becky and Judy,
I just had to write and tell you how thrilled Jason and I are with
Lexie, our Goldendoodle. She has brought so much joy and love into
our home since we brought her home from Gleneden just three weeks
            ago!
Lexie is such a smart and beautiful little girl and has the best
disposition. Last weekend we took her on her first road trip...6
hours in the car (with food and potty stops along the way!) and she
couldn't have behaved better. She looked up at us from her crate
every so often to say hello then napped the rest of the trip.
She has spent time with our extended family ranging in age from 2-65
years as well as two other family dogs, and has socialized so well!
Thank you for your dedication to breeding the best puppies
available. We're sure thrilled with ours!..

Hi Judy and Anya, Sutton is doing wonderfully. He turned one year about one month ago and we love him to death. He is fully crate trained and is now helping us prepare for the arrival of a baby boy in January! He has become quite the protector of me!
Here is a cute picture of Seth and Sutton to give you an idea of what is looking like these days!
Hope all is well, Dori Chait, Baltimore, MD

Hi Judy,

Here is Morgan in Canada...we were in the Maritimes...He and Cocoa are great travellers. I think Cocoa has taught him in dog speak about the best way to be on the road and they are great in a motel or cabin. The good thing about him is he will bark a couple short barks. Cocoa was trained not to, so I never know who is here. Despite the fact he graduated from puppy school, he is a 1 track minded dog. It's his way and he doesn't forget. We are working with that and Don has a great deep voice which he really responds to.So, hopefully we get to go to the doodle romp next May...we will plan for it.

Regards, Sue and Don Medbery, Dover, NH
